revocation Songwriter/Frontman DavidDavidson Comments: “It’s always hard to pick the first single off a new album, but we felt that ‘Diabolical Majesty’ really captured the spirit of ‘Diabolical Majesty.’ “Under Heaven” total. It’s a thrashing death metal ripper that has something for everyone, whether you’re the first to activate a circle pit at a show or you just like to bang your damn head. The music video was directed by our good friends Dave Brodsky and Allison Woest and they outdid themselves once again! Special thanks to the Sk8 Liborius crew for letting us romp in their room for a few days.”

“Lyrically, ‘Diabolical Majesty’ was inspired by the Satanic Temple’s ongoing battle with the religious right and their struggle to have the statue of Baphomet displayed in the face of censorship and legal action. To quote American author Chris Hedges, “The merging of the corporatists with the Christian right is the marriage of Godzilla with Frankenstein.” These words ring even truer now that extremist Christian politicians have begun to impose their authoritarian rule while trying to to reverse the separation of church and state completely.”

Brett Bamberger (Bass) adds: “The filming of ‘Diabolical Majesty’ pumped me up in every way! You can’t beat ripping a video with the crew DURING a session and multiple Busch Waters. Skating at the Liborius reminded me of my first visit to SPOT & Asbury Park when I was a kid. I don’t think I’ve seen a vert ramp at all since those days as I’ve always been a tech dude! It was really special to bring all my beloved passions together in the session and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!”

On record release revocation will embark on a North American headlining tour crisis, alluvialand vaccination as support. “We can’t wait to play some new songs on our first headlining tour since the pandemic,” excited Davidson. “We will join the Brazilian berserkers crisisProgressive death metal wizards alluvial and newcomers vaccination that combine an OSDM aesthetic with a more modern, technical approach. Don’t miss the killer lineup, come out and circle for Satan!”

The Billboard chart trio has been in the making for four years revocationDavidDavidson (vocals/guitar), Ash Pearson (drums) and Brett Bamberger (Bass) – Meticulously explore the allegorical and literal aspects of Hell while delving deeper into the darker, more devilish side of Death Metal. In short, where the previous album, “The Outsiders” (2018), Airdrop revocation into the dreadful abyss of the cosmos, “Under Heaven” skillfully pierces through the nine rings of Hell to confront Lucifer and his many faces head-on. “We definitely have more of a death metal mindset than on previous albums in our catalogue,” claims Davidson. “We’re focused on how to write the best possible death metal-centric album while pushing our limits at the same time. The new songs up ‘under heaven’ are evil and sinister but also have a progressive element to keep things interesting. It has our stamp on it, no question.”

“Under Heaven” was written for during the downtime after the album cycle “The Outsiders” was complete. The album’s nine tracks were written entirely by Davidsonwho passed his time between squats at the altars by Luc Lemay (Gorguts), Chuck Schuldiner (Death), Martin Friedman (Megadeth) and celebrated jazz guitarists Wes Montgomery and Kurt Rosenwinkel. Between writing killer riffs and downright wild solos, the seven-string also practiced guitar (technique), studied (theory) and taught guitar. revocation really changed gears though Davidson picked up audio tech (using Apple’s Logic Pro) to effectively use pandemic-era lockdowns. For him, it made perfect sense to lead the engineering and producer chair at his newly built HeatWave studios “Under Heaven”. revocation then Swedish studio ace procured Jens Bogren (Opeth, creator) for mixing and mastering at Fascination Street Studios.
“We put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into the album” says Davidson. “We want to inspire people. It’s brutal. We brought our A-game to ‘Netherheaven’.”
